OUR CARNIVORE JOURNEY

January is WORLD CARNIVORE MONTH and 2025 has had the biggest participation EVER!  We (Nate & Riss) use January each year to reset after the Christmas holidays & get our bodies back into full functioning order to face the year ahead.

HERE'S OUR NUTRITION JOURNEY:

Having come from the SAD way of eating for pretty much 40+ years, we knew something was not right with our nutrition direction and changed to KETO for the next 3 years. The benefits for us were weight-loss & energy however, the time came when even KETO didn't cut it!

THE NEXT STEP WAS CARNIVORE!

Detoxing sweeteners, processed foods & carbs sent our bodies into deep withdrawals and we suffered the "keto flu" severely for about 3 weeks. This experience sealed the deal for us as we then fully realised the effect that an excess of the wrong foods had on our bodies and swore never to go back there again!

Fast forward 3 years and we have done a number of experiments with different animal based foods to find our own personal balance that has given us mental clarity, excess energy, further weight-loss and general over-all health inside & out!  We do not suffer from any health conditions and are rocking "50 something" better than anyone else we know on the SAD way of eating regardless of their age. 

HERE'S WHAT WE CONSUME DAILY:

2-3 Bullet-proof coffees with 20g butter each

4-8 Free Range Eggs

300g - 600g Grass Fed Beef or Lamb

2-10 Chicken wings if still hungry or peckish.

Sparkling Water

Celtic Salt

We do not count calories & we do not fast longer than overnight!

HERE'S WHAT WE EAT OCCASIONALLY:

Seafood, Cheese, Greek Yogurt, Sauerkraut, No-Sugar Ice Cream, Lime Juice in water, Pork Crackle & Dried Spices.

DO WE CHEAT?

Heck yes! We are not perfect and love the occasional cheat to keep us sane and remind us of why we don't eat certain things all the time! But, if we cheat, it is just 1 meal...not a whole day or week and is usually more KETO than anything!!  Some may say that this is not optimal for your journey and for some that is correct but we all need to find our own balance, don't be such a Karen about it and relax.
